About the Mineral County Assessor
The Mineral County Assessor's office assesses each and every property at least one time within a five year cycle as there are five reappraisal areas within our county. Unsecured tax accounts are also collected by this office. They include mobile homes as well as aircraft, agricultural equipment, billboards, business equipment, possessory interest billings, mining accounts and oil and gas leases.Exemptions for qualified widows and widowers, legally blind residents, qualified veterans as well as disabled veterans.
The senior tax rebate program is run from the assessor's office also. Ownership of properties is entered into our AS400 data program after they have been recorded in the recorder's office. Legal descriptions of properties are available in our office as well as ownership, addresses, assessed values and plat maps. Sales data is collected in the assessor's office also.
